Jessie Ronald Spence

Jessie Ronald Spence, 66 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, died at home Friday, September 16, 2022.  He was a resident of Clairton, PA.  Born May 15, 1956, in McKeesport, PA to the late Carrie Farr Spence and Jessie W. Spence.  Affectionally known as Ronnie.  He was a proud graduate of the Mon Valley School.

Ronnie served briefly in the U. S. Marines in 1978. He was a resident of George Washington Carver Hall where he served as the Fellowship Hall caretaker and participated in the Food Bank for over 30 years.  Ronnie was a member of Shiloh Church of South Park for many years serving as their van driver.  When he felt the move of the Lord, he repositioned himself and became a member of Gethsemane Church of God in Christ where he faithfully became the van driver and the person you would call on when you needed help at various functions.

Jessie is preceded in death by Ethel Farr Napper, William Farr, Cecelia Annette Spence Scott, and Carmen Spence Griffin.  He is survived by siblings, Thomas (Rose) Farr of Clairton, PA and Roslyn Spence (Rudolph) Woods of Uniontown, PA.  He will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

The viewing will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Gethsemane COGIC, 200 Crest Street, Clairton, PA where the funeral will start at 11 a.m.  Elder Melvin Brown, Th.D. will be officiating.
